CLASSES

Learn to Draw through Cartooning with Cartoonist Robert Armstrong!
Six 1.5 hour sessions, open to students ages 9 to 109! All skill levels encouraged. Classes are held Mondays, April 14, 21, 28 and May 5, 12, 19 – from 5:30 – 7:00 PM at the Winters Participation Gallery / Center for the arts. $70 for six sessions, materials included.

Painting with Chalk Pastels!

Instructor: Diana Jahns

Six hours of instruction open to beginners & accomplished artists, ages 16 and older (due to nature of materials). Saturday, May 17, 10:00 AM – 4:30 PM (half-hour for lunch break). $65 with materials for the class included. Enrollment is limited to a maximum of 12 students. Class will be held at the Winters Participation Gallery / Center for the Arts.

Six hours of instruction open to all levels of ability. Saturday, June 7, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Registration, $100. Materials list will be provided upon registration. Class is open to a maximum of 10 students.

Come see our monthly art exhibition shows which run from the first Saturday through the 4th Sunday of each month. The grand opening receptions for each artist and exhibition are held on the first Saturday of each month from 6pm-8pm.

The Winters Center for the Arts is an all volunteer, not-for-profit venue for the arts. We are located at 31 Main Street in Winters, Hours are Friday 5-8 PM, Saturday 3-8 PM, and Sundays 11 AM-2 PM except first Saturday Art Walk hours Noon to 8:00 and except the first Sunday of each month the hours are Noon until 3 PM

WCA is a cooperative, non-profit gallery that:
  • encourages and shows the work of regional artists;
  • offers special support to young and Native American artists; and
  • holds art classes.

    Since the Gallery's founding three years ago, it has hosted:

  • more than 20 art shows;
  • half a dozen classes;
  • special displays of ethnic art;
  • prize-winning art by local high school students; and
  • it has donated $2000 to art scholarships.

    Continuing to bring art exhibits and fundraising events to Winters, WCA will take donations such as monetary donations at the gallery or the purchase of a ticket to our fundraiser events. All of us at WCA sincerely thank you for your support.
